evening

The day is drawing to a close.  I was able, I hope, to gift Erin with some time for friendship as I lodgesat this evening. She is out now in her kayak on this beautiful water- the grays of an hour ago resolving into lavenders and pinks. I hope to catch the image of her return against the backdrop of this phenomenal sky. I am grateful to have been able to return a small token in exchange for this amazing gift she has lavished upon me here….

…..It has become quite chilly with the front that passed through, carrying the humidity away with it,  cool enough that a sweater is needed, even as the sky itself has now bundled up once again in her blanket of gray.
